The Problem

Each year, approximately 2.8 million safety pins are used for running events in Australia, leading to tons of metal waste.

The majority of these safety pins end up in landfills, on trails posing significant risks to wildlife and ecosystems with their small size making them easily ingested by animals.

About BibSNAPs

Our Solution

BibSNAPs are reusable and made from recycled plastic. They are strong, lightweight and gentle on fabric. This means they can be used repeatedly at running or cycling events saving tons of metal waste and prevent injuries to animals.

Why No Magnets

magnets can disrupt RFID (radio frequency identification) "timing" chips embedded in bibs can effect the runners timing.

Plus, the extra weight from magnets can also lead to discomfort for runners on longer races
